The Conclusion
So tell me, just what is "thanksgiving"?

Is it the made up fantasy that the nation of America continue to up hold and celebrate?

Is it the tradition the Wampanoag held at the conclusion of every fall harvest to show their thanks to the Great Spirit, the Creator ( God )?

Is it the celebration of a wrongfully massacred and "virtually exterminated" tribe that so called received it's "retribution" for the wrong of ONE tribal member?

Is it the celebration of the whites broken treaty and the fact that they stabbed the Wampanoag people in their backs and pretty much...Well cut their head off and stick it on a pike (spear ) for 20 years?

Or is it a combination of all 4? And if so, then just what are you thanking? Who are you thanking? What are you giving? Who are you giving it to?
What's being given? What's being taken?

1. Are you thanking your society for instituting a fantasy that never took place? You learn it and give it to the next generation to pass on?

2. Are you thanking the Great Spirit, the Creator ( God )  for allowing you to live another day and indulge the delicious food God provided for you?Are you giving that same indulgence to the needed ( the way the Wampanoag did) ?

3.Are you celebrating the innocent blood that was shed and lives that was suffered , and  almost total annihilation of a whole people for the coast of the actions of ONE MAN?

4.Are you celebrating the a broken peace, blood shed, and suffered lives of a kind and helpful people ( the Wampanoag ) including the innocent English folks?

If your answer is (1) then your a fool for up holding a lie. If your answer is (2) then you should be thankful and giving all the time ( with both physical, mental, and spiritual food ) all the time, not just for this time of the year. If your answer is (3) then your an even bigger fool. And if your answer is (4)
then...Well let's just say if there was a such thing as ghost there wouldn't be no United States of America...

Concluded...
Prt 3__ Ok so I'v been doing some research on my Native american ancestors history, ( even though it annoys the crap out of me .__. ) anyways__ my grandma orders the brand new National Geographic book "Indian Nations Of North America", which delivers "authorized research, and thoughtful analysis" from Native American authors and scholars, advise from tribes and museums through out the country, and the expertise of the national geographic it's self.
This must be one of the best books on Native history on the market right now.Funny thing is one of the first articles I read was the mythes about "Thanksgiving". So I thought, "Ya know what, people should really read this and get the reall history of this "holiday" they be celebrating every year and never really knowing the real depths of what it is they're celebrating."

I not only used this book but also checked out some native museum websites and other varies native sites to help me put this piece of literature together, and if you ask me I think history books need to be rewritten :D

And don't worry I got one for "Christmas" and "Santa claus" too :P
